The first week is in and the kittens are adorable, lovable, intelligent, and every good thing you can say about them.
Here is Bonny and Coinneach (KOIN ock)in the shipment container having just been picked up and wondering what is next. The hour drive home was quiet, not a sound out of them. When they came out of the carrier, like toddlers, everything they found went in their mouths, so you have to watch them around wires and cords. The easiest thing to do was use cat toys to get there attention and they were having a great time jumping and chasing.
Bonny likes to look you in the eyes from wherever she is, and you feel you can carry on a conversation with her. Coinneach (KOIN ock) was just looking at his level, avoiding our human feet.
I was doing some work for my company and knew they were in the room with me, so when I turned around to see them I was greeted by the sleeping kittens on a small camping pillow I had placed on the floor.
It is usually a bad sign when more than one Veterinarian comes in to see you and your pets, but with Scottish Folds they all want to check them out.
Favorite toys are a mouse on a wire string with a short handle. It is small enough for them to carry in their mouths and they look so proud walking with it. We have a 12x12x12 inch box that we use with the mouse.
Bonny can jump in the box easilyand she places with the mouse when we drop it in there, and Coinneach (KOIN ock) can see where the wire is and jumps at the mouse when it comes out of the box. They are so much fun.
When they nap they find some place within eye site of each other. If one wakes earlier and goes off to play the other will call out when the awaken to bring them together.
