Having two kittens is such a blast. Petra (now 14 weeks old) is a strong-willed tornado, and Jericho will be her undauntable playmate.
It’s been two whole days with them together, and Jericho didn’t wait to claim his place by my side. He’s also fearlessly engaged Petra, who has reacted in the typical jealous-big-sister manner of hissing and growling and getting angry when he touches her stuff. By the end of day one, he decided to repeatedly charge at her anyway. By day two, he instigated epic chases through the house and held his own in wrestling matches. On this third morning, Jericho pushed Petra aside at the water bowl, so she just bopped him, gave him a light bite, and wandered off.
Jericho is also a constant love bug, while Petra has certain times of day reserved for cuddles. The day after he came home, he climbed all over me, purring and playing. He loves to fall asleep on my arm or by my leg. His favorite perch is my favorite chair, and Petra is content that she doesn’t have to share her favorite perch (for now).
You’ll definitely get photos of Petra when she hits 6 months old.
