It has been some time since we talked, I have some bad news and I need your help. I was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia last April, 2014. I have been at MD Anderson off and on for the past year. They really thought they could put me into permanent remission, unfortunately it did not happen and now I have to go through a stem cell transplant.
During the past year my sister-in-law helped with Rose and Alice when we were out of town. At this time my doctors have told me, because of the transplant, I cannot be around cats in the future. I guess cats can carry some sort of disease which can be deadly to stem cell patients. My doctors have told me I have to get rid of them and it is the responsible thing for me to do for myself and my family.
I would like to have my husband bring them back to you and let you find them a new home. They have grown up to be such wonderful companions for me and I can’t tell you how hard this is for me. They are beautiful and they are the best of sisters. Rose is confident and curious while Alice is very timid and shy. They are very very close and I ask that you keep them together. Alice is so shy, she really needs Rose. Rose’s ears stayed perked. Alice’s ears folded. They are both very small.
I would look for someone around the Stillwater area, but I fear I would be tempted to go after them. I will be hospitalized the next 30 days and then have to stay in Houston for the next 100 days in case something goes wrong I have to be within 20 minutes of MDA.
Please email me and let me know if my request is possible.
