Sequoia and Zion

Hello Suzanne,

I just wanted to give you an update on Sequoia and Zion. They are the BEST and have certainly shown their true colors as individuals. Sequoia has a very calm demeanor compared to Zion. He is very laid back, a bit bigger than his sister, and seems to know when I need him by my side. I love how he does that! He is a gentleman when it comes to his sister. He always lets her go first. While he sits back and waits for dinner or treats, she has her face in the can already starting to try to get the food. He is also known as Brother Bear and Sweet Boy. He absolutely loves midnight belly rubs and helping me quilt! He is really just waiting for the opportunity to steal my spool of thread. He has done that so many times! I think he saves his energy reserves for the times when I am sewing so that he can stealthily steal my spool.

Zion is a petite girl who loves getting into trouble. She is so curious and constantly climbing–almost to a fault sometimes, but I love her mischievousness. She is very athletic and agile. She loves her face smushed and is more assertive when seeking attention. Zion is also known as Sassy Sissy Pants, which is very befitting of her personality, and Sweet Pea because she does have a soft side–even though she always looks mad! She has the softest meow, whereas Sequoia has a language of his own with his purr-meow thing that he does in his throat. When I hear that, I know it is him without even looking. He also has some different talking meows that he does when he is on his own exploring.

Both of them tumble about the house with each other while tufts of fur fly. They will then stop and have a grooming session with each other. They absolutely enjoy their lives and our new home in Bridgewater, CT. The house is a little bigger and has a great open, long floor plan for them to run from one end to the other after each other. They are pure joy and got me through some rough times as I processed my grief. Thank you so much for doing what you do in creating these perfect little creatures. I love them so much!
