Thought you’d like an update on our sweet Willow. She’s 7 months now and just about 7 lbs. She is the light of our life. Full of fun, energy and cuteness! She knows exactly how to appeal to our heart, whether its for a “treat”, attention or just because – she’s has us wrapped around her little paws. We’ve trained her to sit patiently while we brush her and more specifically to have her nails cut, to stay off the counters (except when she knows water has just been run in the sinks!) and to not run out the door when we open it. She drinks from her bowl, but evidently has found that water laying around in the shower in sinks is much more appealing!!! Her favorite toy is the tiny little blue ball made by Tom from his favorite snack – Dove candy 3 foil wrappers to be exact!! She has a myriad of toys but that is her very favorite and she carries it around everywhere with her. The orange CatBall is her other favorite and to see her play in it is just amazing – rolling around, sleeping, playing peek-a-boo, etc. She spends half the night on the bed with us and interestingly enough, she has to be “touching” either my arm or my back – either with her paws or often she just leans and puts her head there. She stays that way til morning and we stir – then she thinks it’s time for breakfast. I gave her her second bath last week (you gave her her first)… she wasn’t happy but she endured. She has a way of either “chirrping” when she wants to say something – usually showing she’s happy or a full blown meow when she’s aggravated with me over an issue. You see from her photo she often sleeps in a splayed out position over the chair back or floor and often upside down. A character for sure, enduring always, she’s the best thing that has happened in our retired lives. She never ceases to amaze us with her antics, love and wonderful personality. You can see from her photos she is a happy kitty.
I wanted to ask you about food. She’s been on Royal Canin since the beginning. 1/2 can wet morning and night and dry always available. She LOVES food and we’ve had to really stay on her to keep from begging from us. We never give her anything that we eat and she’s getting better about begging now because she never wins. But she doesn’t seem to like the Canin kitten wet food anymore so after some research I’ve tried the Wilderness Blue since it has no fillers and bad stuff – just real meat/fish, etc. Do you know much about it and does it sound ok to you? She just snarfs it up and seems much more content between meals. I just don’t want to give her just any ole’ catfood that’s cheap as I know it’s not good for her. So, your thoughts here.
Looks like you’ve had a busy spring with lots of kitties – lots of males it seems and lots of buyers. Love seeing all the stories. Hope you are doing well.
