Testimonies 2010 -
December
BO BOTTOMSLEY
Hi Suzanne!! How are you? Hope you
had a great Christmas!
I thought I would update you on our
not-so-little Bo!!

As you know, Daniel and I are both
teachers so for the past week we've been
on Christmas break. Oklahoma City also
had a record 14 inch blizzard, so the
whole family has been home together for
almost a week! We have had a blast.

I was sooo concerned that Bo would
climb the Christmas tree that I had been
watching him like a hawk, squirt bottle
in hand, but he didn't even mess
with the tree for weeks!! But then,
last week we were up late and looked
back to see Bo all the way up the
Christmas tree! !
I had to take a picture of that crazy
boy before prying him out of the tree.
Oh brother!! The funny part is that
since we took the tree down today he has
been totally bummed. Haha! Poor guy!
Bo is such a sweet, funny boy. He wakes
us up every morning about 5 minutes
before the alarm, purring like crazy.
It is the best way to wake up!! Then he
gets super hyper in the morning,
probably sleeps all day, and is hyper
again when we first get home. It is too
cute. His absolute favorite toy is
feathers. I took him to PetsMart the
other day and he could NOT stop staring
at the birds!! Ha!

He is also getting really big!! He was
less than 2 pounds when we got him, and
now he is almost 6 pounds!! I can't
believe it. I was wondering if you
could tell me how much Stripes weighs
because I think Bo is going to be built
just like him.

My favorite thing about Bo is that he is
very social. Our other cat Luna is
wonderful and sweet, but she is scared
to death when people come over. Bo, on
the other hand, follows us around the
house and loves when people visit. He
loves the attention. :)

Anyways, happy
holidays from our family to yours!!

sun. Mom won't let her go outside any
farther than the front door!
BLUE
Hi Suzanne,
Blue made it
safely! He's adorable....and what a
beautiful coat.
We're taking things slow
tonight...letting him adjust to his
new surroundings. We've set up a
safe place for him in the bathroom
with his carrier, food, water and
kitty litter and will see how things
develop tomorrow.
Thanks again for taking such great
care of him up to this point. I'll
touch base again over the weekend.
I have a few questions too so maybe
we could talk this weekend if you're
going to be around. If so, please
let me know a number I can reach you
at.
Have a good night...
John
RUMPLETEAZER IE... PENNY
Suzanne,
I just wanted to let you know I
successfully got Penny to fetch her raw
hide stick 3 times in a row. She likes
to sit at my feet and chew on it so I'd
pick up the stick, throw it in the
kitchen, and off she'd go for it, only
to come back with it in her mouth and
sit at my feet and chew on it again.
She got pretty weary of me by the third
time but it was so cute! In just a weak
and a half I'll be on my way to
Arkansas, can't wait to see you while
I'm there!

YUMI AND MIKO
Suzanne,
Hope you are having a wonderful
Christmas!

I checked your website today to look
at all of the new kitties, it's always a
delight. Yumi and Miko did well on their
travel from Louisiana to Northern
California.

They mostly slept the whole way being
the lazy things that they are. They are
very healthy and happy at their new home
in Vacaville, California.
My
husband Reid and I are preparing for our
first baby, I do hope that they get
along with him. Anyway, here are some
attached pics of our little girls! Have
a Happy Holiday Season!
Suzanne

Hi Suzanne,
A few weeks ago I wrote to you and told
you how I procrastinated and did not
wash Winston for a few months. Then he
was starting to get mats really bad, so
I washed him and the shampoo and
conditioner I used seemed to strip him
of his natural oils and made him a
mess.
I had used Dr.s Fosters and Smith's
oatmeal shampoo. Maybe Winston has
"difficult" fur or something! :-)
Anyway I ordered Shea butter shampoo and
conditioner (from SheaPet) and I already
had a product from the line that can be
used as a de-tangler. The de-tangler
saved him until I could get the other
products and bathe him again!
Russ and I gave him a serious bath
Sunday and made sure to really condition
the areas where he was having so much
trouble. We were quite a sight I am
sure! The three of us in the big
soaking tub, Russ and I in our swimsuits
and Winston in his birthday suit. ;-)
After Winston was washed, conditioned
and combed through, I used a new mat
breaking comb to help, Winston was
finally mat free! The best news is that
the last few days the comb goes through
his gorgeous fur much easier and any
tangles that start, comb out before they
are a problem.
I have a happier cat and I am a
delirious mama!! :-) The daily battle
over grooming may be over and Winston
and I can bond over grooming instead to
seeing who is more stubborn. Last night
Winston came to me as I was combing my
own hair and was giving me happy ankle
rubs, so I used my comb to go over him,
he purred! That is the first time that
has happened. :-) I think he feels
better without his fur being in snarls.
I wanted to let you know how things
worked out so you won't worry about
Winston. He has "the life" here! I
love him so much I can't even put it
into words. He has purrsonality plus
and is very sweet. My likes to be
scratched and is getting more cuddly.
He loves attention and follows me
around. He has even got into bed and
watched TV with us a few times. He does
sleep in our bed, but usually after Russ
gets up in the morning. I get to sleep
later than Russ, I am very happy about
that!
Angel is doing good too. She has one
ear that gets very waxy and needs
cleaning weekly. Thank Goodness she
will just lie in my lap and relax, well
sort of, while I clean her little ear.
She is the most gentle creature I have
ever met and she is the sweetest little
kitty! Angel is very happy to have
Winston as well. She has come out of
her shell and plays so well with him.
They don't cuddle together, but they are
buddies. It is odd that she never
bonded with Scooter, I guess it is just
as well.
I am still not in any hurry for another
Fold. I
am
looking forward to the day I get one! I
just want the right cat and I know
you'll recognize him/her when he/she
arrives. :-) After all you knew
Winston belonged here and he is the best
thing that has come into my life in a
very long time!
I hope all is well with you and your
family. I know there has been lots of
rain there and I hope you have not had
any problems! Take care and I'll update
you from time to time.
All my best, Kim
BLAU
Hi, Suzanne,
Blau arrived safely in NYC and is
already at home here. He wasn't shy
at all from the very start and
immediately went for the water and
food before exploring his new home.

He's playing as we speak
and he's getting to know his new
brother, our other cat, Waldo.
Blau
is just the cutest, sweetest cat and
we are already helplessly in love
with him. The carrier he came in
was perfect and he seemed very
comfortable. Thanks for doing such
a great job with him.

BELLA
Bella arrived safely. She is
adjusting very quickly - Not hiding, but
playing with toys and bouncing

around. She has allowed both of us
to pet her and pick her up. She is
very cute, and full of personality!
Suzanne
Here is Bella on her window seat.
NICO AND TRIFID
Just wishing you the best of the holiday season from everyone here at Adobe
Precision Gear in wonderful Carlsbad, New Mexico
Nico and Trifid are just fine. They are loved by all.
Best Wishes
