Testimonies 2009 - March
PADDLES

Hi,
Suzanne,
Hope all is well with you and your
family. I just saw the picture
of the new babies -how sweet and
adorable. If I remember right,
isn't Paddles somehow related?
He's doing great and still just as
sweet as ever. He loves to lay
in his bed right next to my desk
here in the office. Sometimes
he'll sleep there all day and forget
he COULD wake up. Hard to
believe he'll be 4 in May.
Where has the time gone!
Our
business is doing well, despite all
the down news all around us.
People are still cruising, thank
goodness.
Attached is an up-to-date photo of
Paddles.
Good luck with the new kitties.
I'll be anxious to see more.
COSETTE AND MS
MOUSER
Hi Suzanne,
Just wanted to give you another update
on the kitties. Both of them are doing
great. Cosette is a year old today which
is hard to believe. Time sure does go by
too fast. She's still a very independent
little girl. She's not much of a lap cat
and doesn't care to cuddle. She'd rather
be chasing aluminum foil balls or pipe
cleaners. However, at night she always
cuddles up next to me in bed. She is
such a good kitty. I never have any
problems with her scratching furniture
or getting into things she's not
supposed to.
Mouser is doing great too. She has
completely warmed up to both Cosette and
me. She is the exact opposite of Cosette
when it comes to affection. The minute I
settle onto the couch, she will jump up
and start in with the nuzzles and purrs.
Oh and head butts. She's an expert when
it comes to head butts. :)
Her favorite toy is a little mouse
stuffed with catnip. She will walk
around the apartment with it in her
mouth and she even "talks" to it. The
only time she ever meows is when she is
playing with her mouse.
Mouser's playful side has definitely
come out. She and Cosette will chase
each other around and wrestle. Sometimes
Mouser will tear around the apartment
without any encouragement from Cosette.
Thanks again for these two wonderful
cats!
Carolyn
P.S. Can you send me a picture of
Cosette's mom, Dolcee? You said she
looks a lot like her but I couldn't find
her pic on your website. Thanks. I'll
try to send you some more photos of the
kitties whenever they stop running
around.
Hi Suzanne,
Just wanted to let you know that Mouser
is doing great! She's still a little bit
shy but adjusting very well nonetheless.
She is such a sweet and affectionate
kitty! Always with the nuzzles and head
butts :) Her favorite toy is a little
mouse stuffed with catnip. She walks
around the apartment with it in her
mouth and at times I catch her "talking"
to it. It's really cute!
Oh yeah, Mouser and Cosette are getting
along a whole lot better now! At first,
any interaction between the two
consisted of hissing, growling and
swatting. There's still all that but
less often. Cosette has finally realized
that Mouser doesn't want to play all the
time. There has been times though that
Mouser is in a playful mood (usually
when she's high on catnip) and chases
Cosette around the apartment. Usually
it's the other way around and Cosette
chases her. Today I even caught them
grooming each other so I think we've had
a major breakthrough here.
Both are such sweet kitties and I love
them so much! Thank you again for
everything!

GILDA
But I have
to say that having a kitten who
snuggles and purrs makes this
all so much easier to deal with.
Blue is still my true kitty
love, but he doesn't always get
when Mommy needs a kitty in her
lap.
So anyway, Gilda has adjusted
very well. It took Blue (and
her) about four days to make
friends. He went through "whoa,
what is that?" to "I think I can
take her..." to "wow, this new
toy is awesome!" And now
they're best buddies. They do
"fight" and run around the
apartment full speed, which is
just silly to watch the huge cat
chase the tiny cat, and vice
versa. They've been caught
snuggling together, and Blue
loves to lick Gilda all over
(and chew on her ears, they fit
right into his mouth!)
She checked out just fine at the
vet. She stopped sneezing, but
is having a little trouble with
eye goopies still. She had her
first "sponge bath" today with
some cat shampoo and a washcloth
and did ok. She eats really
well, and likes the adult chow
better than her own, so she
always eats Blue's leftovers
first, then switches to her own
food. She was throwing up some
food once yesterday and once
today, so we're keeping an eye
on her and spread out her food a
bit in case she's eating too
fast. Tomorrow
she's visiting my parents' house
for the first time, since my
parents' house is the family
meeting place for funeral
planning. Everyone can use a
little kitten time, especially
in times like these.
I think
that's about it. Gilda is great
with everyone. She loves her
daddy, especially because he's
not the one who gives medicine
and baths. She does have her
spots she likes best already
(most of them used to be Blue's
spots until she took over.) Once
all of this family craziness
settles down I will take more
pictures and send you some, I
promise.
I hope all is
well down south. Enjoy the
weather, it is below zero up
here... brrrr!
CHARLIE AND LUCY
Hello Suzanne,
Pretty soon
Charlie and Lucy will be one year
old. Do you recommend any
shots at one year, and if so which
ones. Charlie and Lucy never
will go outside and they are not in
contact with any other pets.
Lucys leg seems to be back to
normal. One new concern with
Lucy. The underside of the
bottom of her mouth (outside) does
not have any fur on it and it is
always caked with old dried up food.
I try to wash it off but it is very
hard to get off. It even seems
that this has irritated the area and
the longer the old food sits there
the skin seems to get almost raw.
I hope I have explained this so you
can understand. Any
recommendations. (FELINE
ACNE, CLEAN WELL THEN MEDICATE
WITH NEOSPORIN IF THIS DOES NOT WORK
WILL NEED TO USE A ORAL ANTIBIOTIC
AND OTHER TOPICAL AN SEPTIC
could also be a reaction to plastic
food dishes so change to stainless
steel food dishes) Otherwise
Charlie and Lucy are great.
Charlie is very big and muscular and
very beautiful. He is still a
ma mas boy!!!! Sleeps up
against me every night. Lucy
is long and lean with a small
delicate head. Both their ears
are as flat as when we got them!!!!!
Lucy is very social and around when
the kids and grandkids come over.
Charlie hides till all company is
gone. Don't think he would of
done well in large groups of people
at cat shows. He is very
loving with John or I and always on
my lap. He is definitely the
dominate one. Looking forward
to seeing all the new Spring babies
on your web site.
Best regards,
Teddy
GILDA
Hi there!
Gilda is such a sweetie!
Here are some pictures of her
in her new home. One I like
because she's so happy sleeping
in the sun on the perch. The
other is a picture of her and
her big brother, Blue. Talk to you more soon, Maria

EEK
Hi Dr Henne,
Just thought you might like to see how
Eek is doing.
My girlfriend took these two
ridiculously cute pics. I think
he's trying to hail a cab in one of
them. :-)
Cheers,
Mark.
